How to invite participants: the activity link

People call all of these an "invitation link", but Re:Activity has three different ones, and they should not be confused. The activity link brings participants into a specific contest. The referral link brings other organizers to the platform. The friend invitation is a participant's link, not an organizer's.

Link Who shares it Whom it brings Where to get it
Activity link organizer participants into a specific contest "My activities" → "QR code"
Referral link organizer new organizers to the platform, with a share of their purchases "Referrals" section
Friend invitation participant a friend into the same contest, for a 🧲 magnet "Invite a friend" button inside the activity

Every activity has a short code, and a link is built from it for each platform:

Platform What the link looks like What happens on open
Telegram https://t.me/ReActivity_Bot/app?startapp=XXXXXX the mini app opens, no password needed
VKontakte https://vk.ru/app54519610_-236280099#XXXXXX the mini app opens, no password needed
MAX https://max.ru/id781101908111_4_bot?startapp=XXXXXX the mini app opens, no password needed
Website https://reactivity.me/app/view/XXXXXX opens in the browser, the participant has to sign in with Telegram, VKontakte, or MAX

Pick the link for the platform where your audience is. Send VKontakte community subscribers the VKontakte link: it opens the mini app right inside VKontakte, while the website link makes them sign in separately.

Where to get the link#

  1. Open "My activities" and press "QR code" on the activity card.
  2. In the "Where the code leads" field pick the platform: Website, Telegram, VKontakte, or MAX. By default it is the network of the channel where the activity is published.
  3. Press "Copy link" or "Share". The same QR code can be downloaded as SVG or PNG and printed.

The link only works for a launched activity. While it is a draft or scheduled, opening it shows a countdown to the start.

The button under the post#

When an activity is published to a channel, the bot adds a "Join" button with the correct link to the post on its own - nothing needs to be pasted by hand. In Telegram and MAX it is a button under the message; in VKontakte it is a link in the post text, because VKontakte community posts have no custom buttons. See Post preview.

Source tag#

If you hand out the link in several places (post, stories, newsletter, banner), enter a source tag in the QR code dialog, for example stories. The activity statistics will then show where participants came from. The link in the published post gets the post tag automatically. See Sources in statistics.

The referral link, https://reactivity.me/join/CODE, brings new organizers to the platform. Whoever signs up through it becomes your referral, and you receive a share of their purchases under the three-level program. It is not meant for inviting contest participants: it leads to the platform, not to an activity.

You can get it in the "Referrals" section, which has "Copy" and "Share" buttons. See How the referral program works.

The friend invitation#

This is a participant's link, not an organizer's. It appears when the activity has the "Invite a friend" action: the participant presses the button inside the activity, receives a personal link like https://reactivity.me/i/..., and sends it to friends. The friend lands in the same contest, and the inviter receives a 🧲 magnet once the friend subscribes to the activity's channel. The action is configured when creating the activity - The "Invite a friend" action.

Common questions#

Can I put the activity link into my own post?#

Yes. Copy the link for the right platform from the "QR code" dialog and paste it into the text. In the Re:Activity content plan the link can be turned into a button with a [btn|🎯 Join|link] line at the end of the post; in VKontakte such a button becomes a plain link in the text.

Why does a participant from VKontakte see a sign-in form?#

They were sent the website link instead of the VKontakte link. The website link opens in the browser and requires signing in, while the vk.ru/app...#XXXXXX link opens the mini app inside VKontakte without a password.
