Deep Mine#
This is a game your participants play together. A mine seven cells wide goes down without a limit, and every participant of the activity digs it at once: each of them sees other people's moves open up just a few cells away. Hidden under the rock are minerals, gold and chests where you can put real prizes. The deeper it goes, the more the rock changes: soil, limestone, crystal, the fungal layer, magma and finally the abyss. Participants come back to see how far the mine has gone and to reach the chests before their neighbours.
Quick facts#
- Genre: casual, shared (one mine for everyone)
- Skills: luck, strategy - where to dig and how to get around rock
- Run length: visits of 1-3 minutes, points add up over the whole activity
- Entry barrier: minimal - tap a cell, no reflexes or gaming experience needed
- Players compete on: points for dug cells; each cell goes to whoever opened it first
Who it suits#
- Communities with an active chat. Moves show up in real time, and the mine becomes a shared event people talk about.
- Multi-day contests. Points add up and the mine keeps going deeper - a reason to come back.
- Giving away several prizes. Small prizes can go into chests as instant prizes, while the main one is drawn at the end.
- Broad audiences. No fast fingers needed, so it works even for people who don't usually play games.
How participants play#
| Action | Method |
|---|---|
| Dig a cell | Tap an available cell |
| Pick a column | Keys 1-7 |
| Look at nearby layers | Up and down arrows |
| Move history | The list button in the corner |
You can only open a cell that shares a side with an already dug one. Rock cuts off that branch of the tunnel - you'll have to approach from another side.
The visible layer is five rows. It shifts down once a row is fully cleared, and the depth grows with it.
One mine for everyone#
The mine is shared across the whole activity: every participant digs the same tunnel and sees other people's moves in real time. An already dug cell can't be opened again - each cell goes to whoever reached it first.
Only the score stays personal: points go to the participant who revealed the cell.
Scoring and bonuses#
| Cell | Points | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Empty | +5 | Opens the way further |
| Mineral | +10 | - |
| Gold | +20 | - |
| Chest | +20 | May yield an instant prize |
| Rock | 0 | Gets revealed but opens no neighbours |
Chests and prizes#
A chest always gives points, but an instant prize only if such a prize is configured in the activity, bound to a marker, and its quantity isn't used up yet. When no matching prize is available, the participant simply gets the chest points.
How the winner is determined#
Prize distribution runs on the accumulated points - including the "score-weighted" rule, where the chance of winning grows along with the points mined. Learn more - Winner selection rule.
The server counts every point: the game only reports the cell coordinates, while the cell type, the award, and the layer shift are decided on the platform side. Submitting your own score from the game is impossible.
Goal parameters#

Demo mode#
Launching from the help page is a demo: points aren't saved and no prizes are awarded. In the demo mine you can dig alongside other site visitors to see what the shared game looks like.
